When you got an err on your canon pixma mx 328 printer with error message like “5B00″, this is mean the “Waste Ink Absorber” was full and need to reset it.

To fix this problem, you must follow 2 step bellow, one is on printer site and other is with a canon service tool.

Ok, for first step is bring the printer to “Service Mode” with following steps:

Step 1 (hardware pre-reset mode):

1. Turn of the printer.

2. Press on “Stop/Exit” button and hold it, then press “On/Off” button to power up the printer and hold it too.

3. While holding the “on/off” button, release the “Stop/Exit” button and press it twice, then release the “on/off” button.

4. Wait until the printer screen show the “Service Mode / Idle”. After this you can go to step 2:

Step  (software final reset):

1. You must download the canon mx328 service tool here

2. Run the Service tool.

3. Shutdown the printer and turn it on, the error “5B00″ should be gone.
